What does ||-eko-|| mean?
Imagine God on top of a mountain and He says something, anything. You will hear the echo of His voice (what He said) strong for maybe two times, but will soon hear it slowly fade out.
Now imagine all of us on the mountain with God and immediately after He says something, WE echo it. If all of us were to echo each others voice, it would never fade out! This is what God said about our young adults group “We are the echo of God’s voice”! How exciting to imagine we are God’s support! That He has chosen US to echo His Words to a “lost and dying world” as Pastor always mentions.
There are three scriptures we would like to use in encouraging you, as to how powerful you are, when echoing God’s voice:
Psalm 8:9 (mesg) -God, brilliant Lord, your name echoes around the world.
1 Thess 1:7 (mesg) -The word has gotten around. Your lives are echoing the Master’s Word, not only in the provinces but all over the place. The news of your faith in God is out. We don’t even have to say anything anymore—you’re the message! People come up and tell us how you received us with open arms, how you deserted the dead idols of your old life so you could embrace and serve God, the true God. They marvel at how expectantly you await the arrival of his Son, whom he raised from the dead—Jesus, who rescued us from certain doom.
Revelation 22:17 (mesg) – “Come!” say the Spirit and the Bride. Whoever hears, echo, “Come!” Is anyone thirsty? Come! All who will, come and drink, Drink freely of the Water of Life!
